huh, ok. i’m not even done yet…
guess i better hurry.
I’ve started with a manual spawning system
you can also enable/disable auto respawns when you die. https://i.gyazo.com/36c3d4de55ff3ff1f7e910b084688aa6.gif
a minor change was everything now follows a color palette, from the UI to the garage. this will help the design feel consistent.
i’ve changed how tracers work to give a player an idea of how to compensate for lag (the higher your ping, the slower your tracer, giving the illusion of actual travel time)
i think I’m technically at MVP at this point. there’s no progression or unlockables yet, but people are enjoying it nonetheless.
It’s going to be a top-down horde survival type game where a small group of players (I’m thinking 6) will try to survive for as long as they can as the hordes get harder and harder.
I haven’t made a game showcasing it just yet, but I might.
It has a really cool/weird effect when you can see the overlapping beams moving at different speeds.
I would still appreicate some suggestions and feedback
It seems like its final, isnt it?
UPDATE
By the way, this game you see (and you have been seeing at my recent posts too)
will be released VERY SOON at its CLOSED BETA (Paid access for tests)
For all wondering: No, I didn’t get this by using ColorCorrectionEffect. The part color is actually being changed. You can see this clearly when you zoom out, as the sky color stays the same.
Working on a project specific plugin that replaces boxes with generated structures. Should make it quick and easy to go from a whiteboxed map to end-product.
