What are you working on currently? (2019)

Working on a project specific plugin that replaces boxes with generated structures. Should make it quick and easy to go from a whiteboxed map to end-product.

I cannot even describe how amazing that is. You should publish it, it would save so many people so much time

That’s… very bright.

almost to the point where it hurts my eyes

I agree with this and would like to add that the subtle blur makes everything hard to look at. Regardless, I like the blocky esthetic. :+1:

Playing around with some volumetric lighting.

Is this with that studio mod with the new future is bright add ons?

Can you publish a game with this lighting?

I’m working on a few things as of recent.

Show Invisible Bricks

The first thing is Show Invisible Bricks. Which… Shows invisible bricks. I made it because I have a hard time finding all the hidden bricks in my places.

Here’s a screenshot:

It can be downloaded from either of the following links:

ShowInvisibleBricks.rbxmx (7.3 KB)

Roblox Website Download

Edit: I fixed the website copy.

FJ’s Map Player for FE2 Maps

The other thing I’m working on is a map player for maps made for Crazyblox’s Flood Escape 2 Map Test game. The main reason for this is for the swimming mechanic, which I need to make my other game scarier.

The game can be found here.

Here’s a screenshot:

I drowned right after taking this one:

Me playing Canyon Chaos:

Could it be… i inspired you? c:

I don’t think deserts are supposed to be dark and cold.
Anyways here are more pictures to change your mind.

Waffle wasn’t suggesting your desert be dark and cold at all. It’s just that its too bright and that everything is just so yellow.

Also, judging by the rock formations, that map looks is more of like canyon than a desert. Maybe add more oranges? Maybe add some vegetation, too. Even deserts have shrubs scattered about.

Yeah, it looks like a canyon, because I don’t know how can I prevent players to fall from the map. The only solution to me is making huge “walls” around it to look like cliffs. Also the map is not finished, I’ve prepared some cactuses, dead trees and some bushes to add around the map.

More interface stuff for a game fashionably dropping on 4/20.

That is a good sign, i guess

This is likely a coincidence as I hadn’t seen that post, but if you want to take credit for it, I wouldn’t mind giving it to you.

I probably won’t publish it as the user(s) would be locked to only using the specific styles I’ve programmed for the different structures, so it would only be useful for specific builds. I also want to keep my own style unique and recognizable and that wouldn’t be possible of course if I put the source code online.

I could publish a ‘clean’ version where users can program and apply their own styles, but that would require users to write their own algorithms of a couple hundred lines per different structure. So it would only be useful for builders who can also program well or ones who manage to find some programmer to help them. So unless you’re one of those Power Users :tm: :copyright: it won’t be useful. But if you really want it and think you’ve got them skills to program your own styles, feel free to DM me and I’ll send you a clean copy whenever it’s ready.
