Blender has a steep learning curve. My first custom avatar took months, the second took 4 days, the third 2 days. Itās not unreasonable for any project to take hours.

Heās not agreeing with you. Heās saying that a lot of people (including myself) started out by taking a long time on simple tasks.
That wasnāt a great thing to say and you shouldāve kept that thought to yourself. Absolutely no need to have said that.
That doesnāt appear to be a perfect torus.

I have a saying called āuse neon sparinglyā, but in your case, that is the theme- so please just dampen it, because too much neon can overcrowd the design.

getting more work done on laying out the towns and cities. iām about 1/3 of the way done with the ones i have so far.
iām really satisfied with how theyāre turning out, mainly because they actually look a bit like (low-resolution) satelite imagery if i view them from afar:
i canāt wait to see how this looks with larger clumps of more/less densely populated areas.
