What are your options for games of the Tower Defense genre?

So as we all know there is a genre of games like Tower Defense. In Roblox, these modes are Anime Adventure, All Star Tower Defense, Tower Defense Simulator.

And here I have a question for you, is it me or is this genre obsolete? In your opinion, how would you improve this genre? What new features would you add? Maybe change the purpose of the game? In general, what would you do to keep the game towers and enemies, but it became more interesting to play, and newer?

One interesting tower defense type game is called “The Battle Bricks”. It’s way different than the traditional tower defense game.
