I released this game about two weeks ago and I haven’t seen a lot of active people on my game. The majority of them join for a minute then leave. I’d greatly appreciate replies on how I could improve the game, get more visits and active players on it.
Checkpoints would be a good start. There are places you can fall really far down, and it’s just frustrating when that happens.
There’s nothing to do once you complete the tower, so there should probably be some kind of system for replaying it that makes it different each time.
In general, there’s nothing particularly unique about it. I do like the classic studs design, and I like the simplicity of it and the nice music and generally it’s a cool atmosphere, but there’s nothing that makes it stand out from the thousands of other tower games - it’s not easy to think of a new idea that hasn’t been done before, but if you do, and implement it properly, then people will play your game more. Maybe something like random stages or obstacles, but in a different way to Tower of Hell somehow. Definitely a difficult genre to expand on.
Thanks for the feedback! It has helped a lot. I agree with the points you’ve mentioned and I’m still thinking of ideas to make the game more enjoyable and original. I’ve thought about adding more towers, maybe a timer or something entirely different.
Hi, I am the creator of quite popular obby and I can tell you all the rules of a good game.
1 your game should have a mobile shift lock - all good obby-players use it, if it is not there, then it will be inconvenient for them to pass your tower.
2 good camera rotation on mobile devices - if your camera rotates badly, it is also inconvenient for passing.
3 good gameplay - good gameplay the secret to success🙂
4 just do not forget about mobile devices - believe me, it will be good when all of the above is in the game
