What could be an appropriate second phase theme for my boss fight?

I am making a Noob boss in a bullethell game. I would like it to have a second phase and so I am looking for suggestions on what I could do about that or even improve what I thought of so far.

Currently, I have the enemy going red to simulate anger. Basic, I know, but I could not think of anything else. Thank you in advance.

I like how it turns red, but the attacks seem pretty much the same. You could add in a new attack, that has different effects that the starter ones. You could also change the music when he reaches 50% HP.

Very nice, a bit of an off topic question, but what trails are you using? I need trails like that.

those are regular studio trails. no textures. look up trails tutorial/VFX. its very easy when you get the hang of it.

i think that looks quality and on character. anything else wouldn’t match the game well, besides new moves. him turning red perfectly suits the visual aspect of the game. good work.
