- I already have thoughts of removing the Avatar Icon on the Health GUI.

One thing I’d focus on is consistency. The style works, but the inconsistencies between the two healthbars stand out to me. This is fine if it’s done intentionally, but I figured I should point it out just in case.
Things like the rounded corners, text color, and spacing differ between the healthbars. The rounded corners appear to be different sizes, and the text coloring and spacing/sizing look different. What I mean by spacing/sizing is that the bottom one doesn’t reach the borders of the UI, while the top one does. Even if the sizes are identical, they could be adjusted to better fit the frame they’re in. Same goes for the corners.
Finally, I don’t think the avatar icon is a problem, but it could be stylized a bit more.
Hope this helps a bit.
study other overhead player gui’s and healthbars, not much more to say
I never thought about matching the styles, or that it could be an eyesore… thank you for that. I’ve updated them accordingly. The PlayerGui Healthbar (Bottom One), changes it’s position and size for each device. So, if it seems a bit smaller… it’s because i’m showing it off in studio. Mind giving an opinion on this updated version?
Could you give me an example of what you mean by styling the avatar icon area? I’m not sure what I could do to style it, nor know where to get inspiration from.
@0ffxInventor: Could you give some examples, or a place to look for said examples…?
It looks great! I really like the updated version.
Of course! Since the bottom health bar is now more visibly rounded, the same could be done to the avatar icon. Here’s an example of what I mean:
You could also use images to design a more intricate and stylized interface, but these are just the basics off the top of my head.
Additionally, you can always add things like lines to help show exactly how much health is missing, but since you have a percentage display this isn’t really necessary. I just wanted to throw it out there as something that may work for you. This could be applied to both health bars to keep the consistency. Here’s what I’m describing:
Note that I did NOT make these examples in Roblox Studio, but it should be possible to do so.
Edit: I know you were asking someone else where to look for examples, but I’d suggest doing a simple search for something like “stylized health bar” or “health bar designs” for ideas. Which style fits your game depends on the type of game, so I can’t give specific examples, but this may be a good place to start.
