I’ve not played either but I’m pretty sure the person who made the remastered version can’t get in trouble because its a remaster. It is possible to steal assets from a game by just playing it, but I would definitely be suspicious of your dev team. If not, then theres little to nothin you can do. You can kindly ask the person to take it down, warn your players or just ignore it because honestly, it probably wont ever get on the scale that your game is on. Roblox doesn’t/cant help much with stolen assets. If you really want, not that they’d probably do anything… send an email to roblox. Good luck
Games can be stolen by simply playing, I replied to a post about something similar to this a couple of hours ago. For now you can send an email to roblox support or ask the person to take it down. Furthermore to protect your game in the future, find exploit prevention. You can comm someone for it or you can probably find a less thorough one for free. Goodluck
You can’t prevent your place from being stolen. Anyone can retrieve everything that is visible to their client and make a copy of it on their computer. The server would not replicate, however. This is another reason why it is a good idea to handle a lot on the server, instead of the client.
I mean, if you file DMCA take down (if you’re crazy enough to do that) or some other copyright legal issues, he is fully fine to ask Roblox to take down the game since it is his own IP/work. Copying other games blatantly via stealing assets will cause the games that copy to be taken down.
As recommended, just email Roblox and report the game.
If the game is fully working (was copied along with server scripts), it was likely some of your developers sharing the game and you can’t do much besides trying to DMCA the owner and take legal steps towards leaker in development team (will be easier if contract / NDA was signed).
For more accurate and professional advice with legal possibilities, you should contact a lawyer.
If just models were stolen, I’d advice ignoring the topic. You can technically mail Roblox and they’ll look into that if you keep asking them to (responding to ticket, after few replies even if they primarily refuse to check, they’ll look into it), but it’s still unbelieveably stressful and from my experience, they won’t take any action, thus by my own opinion it’s better to ignore such copies.
Probably a troll or someone trying to steal your game. Make sure you make a copy of your game, ask all the people who worked on hoopverse alpha to report the game and block the guy who created the game. Make sure you have security measures in place in case anything happens.
Hopefully, it isn’t a hacker, probably someone trying to copy your game and hope that people play his/hers instead.
Roblox is slower to act with devs assets being stolen in my exp, or don’t/can’t do anything at all. DMCA takedown is a lot of hassle and @PastorCond is probably too young anyways. Not much else that can be done ://
