I’m currently working on a game that needs voice acting. I tried using text-to-speech (TTS), but it didn’t hit the right spot. I looked at some posts and websites, but they didn’t quite help me. So, I thought I could ask some questions here about voice actors and how to hire them.
My questions are:
How much does a voice actor cost?
Is it better to pay in Robux or real money?
How can I trust the person who wants to be the voice actor?
Where and how can I hire a voice actor?
What is the process for hiring a voice actor on Roblox specifically?
Are there any legal considerations or contracts that need to be addressed when hiring a voice actor?
How can I ensure clear communication and expectations with the voice actor throughout the project?
Are there any specific technical requirements or formats that the voice actor needs to adhere to for delivering the recordings?
I would be very grateful if someone could answer these questions before I make something wrong…
It really depends on what you expect of the voice actor.
Like said above, it’s your choice; however, in robux you would have to pay in greater quantity.
You can’t really trust anyone online, however, it’s good to know that experience in voice acting also has a impact on others. For example, if they voice acted for some popular games; you can surely trust them.
In any development server or via the Talent Hub. Just what you prefer, you could join RoDevs or HiddenDevs to interact with voice actors.
I don’t understand this question, however, if you want to know what the process is in hiring someone; there is not really any process with hiring a voice actor. You just hire them!
I’m not sure about this, I will leave this question to those who have more knowledge on this path.
You should consider discussing that with the voice actor themselves. Make sure they have personal capabilities that meet one of them;
Ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
Strong communication skills and a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
Flexible availability to accommodate project needs and timelines.
