What do math.sin and math.cos do?

Hello, does anyone know what math.sin, and math.cos really do/how they work? because on the wiki it doesn’t really go in-depth into the way they work, and there are no youtube videos that go in-depth into both, only some that are on math.sin.

They’re trigonometric functions. If you don’t know trigonometry, my recommendation is to watch some videos on the subject by Khan Academy.
