So I made a murder mystery map for a client which he said he didn’t want, so now I just have it, btw if you would like to message me about acquiring it DM. Please give me your thoughts on the build and tell me what to add and make better. BTW, please comment how long you think this should have taken to build. Thanks!
It looks really nice, my one critique is the large amount of floating point errors, for example on the roof in the 3rd photo, you can see that there is a slight difference in the size of the two wedges; or in photo 5, The gas thingy has a different sized sphere from the cylinder. A way to prevent this is to not use extremely small intervals with the move tool.
I dislike the amount of space you have on the other side of the road, and how tall the terrain is. You can also see a little bit of grass poking through the brown part of the terrain. I would also make the spawn invisible, overall it’s nice!
Do you mind clarifying on how long it took you to build this? It wouldn’t have took you long since the map features repetitive buildings and objects around the map the area is quite small so I’m assuming there’s underground areas or tunnels. That they could explore instead of staying in one part of the map?
Looks alright! You’ve made good use of the elevation mountains - hills, although I recommend using more more colours (e.g. different shades of grey mixed with others) as well as more ways and other items that could be placed rather then repetition buildings I’m assuming you used part and meshes to create the buildings?
I think the build is decent but it’s quite simplicity. Repetitive buildings ruin the design as it does lack hiding areas and more expanding corners. Otherwise, you could put more work into this in order to call this a murder mystery type of lobby
It’s an amazing start, but if you want to improve you could definitely add some textures, maybe even custom ones, make the disco floor change colour(if it doesnt already) and make the spawn point invisible. I think you should target adding detail since that’d improve the map 1,000,000 times! anyway best of luck! i believe in you.
