When you meen Meshes then use Blender or something.

Better if the map is big, because players may not like to play on small maps (they might not prefer it) 
The game will be nice if you add cities, forests, etc. to the map. Be careful not to leave the map blank. You can add farms to the empty sections!

Well, that’s what I’m currently doing now.
I suggest you could choose a location on the map (Don’t choose big cities, you won’t be able to finish building it) choose small towns (like how greenville did) and then just replicate it nearly 1:1 if you want
