What does the animation properties mean?

what does core, idle, movement, action, action 1 2 and 3 even mean?

It’s a priority of the animation, makes the engine know which animation will overlap another one. You also got the docs to tell you that.

It means the order of an animation. Action4 overrides Action3 which overrides Action2 which overrides Action which overrides Movement which overrides Idle WHICH OVERRIDES Core.

They are used to play multiple animation consistently like having a tool equip animation play on top of a walk animation.

Also, please move this to #help-and-feedback:game-design-support to avoid moderator action as well as please use google to ask questions. There are people before you who asked similar questions and if you just research and put some effort, us people won’t get annoyed by repetitive questions.

how is this related to game design lol, it should be platform usage if it’s about the animation editor, or scripting support if it’s about setting the Priority property of AnimationTrack

Platform support is usually related to website questions and how to do X on roblox. This is game design support as I am sure that animation priorities are used in games and not somewhere else.

im sorry im new to this chill out man dang
