What does this error mean? [Code 529]

I just came across this error trying to access a game, what does it mean?

I rejoined and it worked fine, but I’d like some more info on it.

error
unsure what category to put this in

Hey, (Error Code: 529) is usually a sign that the Roblox servers are undergoing routine maintenance or are experiencing unexpected issues. But luckily in this case everything was solved after rejoining!

It just means that the connection to the server was disconnected because of a problem with Roblox. Usually because they’re doing routine maintenance or the server was overloaded. There’s nothing you can do about it except attempting to rejoin.

Not really, this error 529 isn’t just about Roblox. It’s about your connection to the internet world. Error 529 shows up even if roblox server are all in good running state. If this Error 529 shows up while all servers are good, then it’s your internet’s problem. Here’s how you can fix it:

  • Restart Roblox client by forcibly closing it through task manager.
  • Restart your device.
  • Run CMD as administrator and type “ipconfig /flushdns” then “netsh winsock reset”. Then restart your PC.
  • If you’re using LAN connection, unplug your LAN cable from your router and your PC, wait for 30 seconds, plug it back again but for the router side, plug it in the other LAN number. (example: From LAN1 to LAN2).
  • If issue persists, delete Roblox from LocalAppdata folder then repeat the steps above BEFORE reinstalling roblox.

Been there than that many times. I keep getting Error 529 Loop due to a Tier 3 Internet Service Provider (ISP).
