Hey! So I’m currently working on a portfolio and need some ideas. What game thumbnail/icon should I remake? I’ll probably do like 5 of them, so let me know in the comments!
You could remake a thumbnail that has inspired you to create a significantly different game thumbnail, instead of an exact copy of the original version. Have you considered finding something that you like to remake or do a little research to find general ideas that you could come up with?
I feel like a thread isn’t needed for this since you’re working on a portfolio try to do something all on your own without remaking popular game thumbnails.
If you’re making an exact thumbnail that’s very similar to the game I’ll consider asking the owner for permission to use it as creating a similar design or remaking it. From my personal opinion, there are many logo - game owners that’ll grant you permission to remake it and put them inside your portfolio. (Take this with a grain of salt); I’ll consider using inspiration and try making everything in your own version way, to create more work to build your portfolio up.

I’m not going to remake the thumbnails. I’m going to make one ‘for’ the game. Basically just going to make it as if I was hired by the developers to make the said thumbnail/icon.
