Hello there, I am Aensvey and I’m really wanting to make a small game but I just cannot think of an idea so I came here. Please feel free to leave any suggestions for a small game that I could try creating and please no FPS type games.

Try making a game were you just walk round and play with stuff
like maybe add in some cars and make little things that players can play round in I did this one time and it when up 2000 by the next week idk why lol

You should makw any game you want. Put all your hard work into a game that you want to be succesful. Learn programming and lua so you can get stuff to function, and then your game would be accurate. No game is a game without any scripts or lua. Just think of what type you want to make. Use the developer forum too.

If you want to start something not so difficult it would be good an obby or parkour, but if you want something good it would be great a minigame for you that is dynamic
The most simple one which comes to my mind is a Obby. Its easy to make, doesnt require a lot of scripting and can also get many likes and visits. I did that on my alt to test if this would work and surprisingly i got over 10,000 place visits, well now that account have been compromised but in my opinion i think an Obby should be just fine as a starter game.
You can also make a “Free Admin!” game, i dont know a lot about this type so ill leave it here.
The issue is I do want something with more scripting involved, because the main reason I’m even making the game is to improve upon my Lua skills. The game isn’t really for players to play and enjoy and more of just a tool for me to learn.
As a person who has been on the Roblox platform developing for around almost 5-3 years, I can safely say that this is incorrect. Knowledge on programming doesn’t matter depending on what game you’re going for.
You can make any game you should find a game you want to enjoy making gathering a (game idea) can be quite difficult from the start you should brainstorm a game idea the concept and style you’re wanting it to feature. Getting different game ideas from users is good but find something your interests in.
You should start with an idea that you’re interested in and passionate about. Just developing a small game, it can be related to existing games something you enjoy playing and the genre of it whether it’s ‘adventure - rpg’ and many more to choose from and resources that’ll help you along the way, once you find a game you enjoy making start writing it.
Make a game you would play. If a game idea comes to mind start writing down the concept, style, base, and gameplay. I encourage you to brainstorm a lot of ideas and put them together, coming up with simple game ideas can be done by yourself.
