Looking to start making some money through games I create, as I already have the skills and time to make a game by myself I’m looking for the genres that can provide me with a good ROI not necessarily what’s trending right now
While I don’t necessarily agree with just making games to make money, I do think that Tycoons and Simulators have the best shot at a quick ROI. Generally, you won’t need to update much after you make the base game. Generally, you’d probably want to have some form of blueprint or template with scripts and whatnot, and then just throw all of the assets that you have for the project in and publish with ads. The games wouldn’t take too long to make.
I don’t think you’d need to spend too much in terms of ads, but get a nice kickstart for the game, and ideally Roblox will recommend it enough to maintain players if you keep your game analytics up.
Yeah well I’ve created a popular game before and I missed out on alot of revenue (it was a story game), but yeah tycoons and simulators are probably my best shot and my goal isn’t just to make money to make money, I just wanna challenge myself and see how much money I can really earn
For sponsoring though, what would be an ideal amount to put towards it everyday? Like does 20 dollars a day sound good?
I don’t doubt that. I totally think that games like this can be useful to boost a long-term game dev career or hobby, as long as that entire career doesn’t turn into cashgrabs lol.
In terms of sponsoring, I’m not an expert. I’m not sure whether you mean 20 dollars at the Roblox purchase rate or if you mean 20 dollars at the DevEx rate. If you meant Devex, I think that’d be fine.
