So recently, I accidentally deleted a script of mine and only noticed a day after since I wasn’t able to run tests the whole day. Good thing I kept a backup of the world and it was there. So question is, if I never had that backup world, what would be the best action to do if this happened? Is there a bin feature that Roblox has? Would Script Recovery fix this?
press Ctrl+Z? / Undo and Ctrl+Y to redo.
That would have worked if I noticed it immediately but because I noticed it a day after, it wouldn’t be possible. Plus, if I had added a lot of elements in the time period from I deleted the script to the time I noticed, it would be a hassle.
This is why you should make sure to always save your game to the site very often to avoid losing all of your recent work. If you somehow delete a script in the latest version you can go back to your game’s Version History and restore the script from there, then load up your true latest version and drop the script back in there. That’s the only actual history of what changed in your game excluding undo/redo as far as I know.
Oh that makes sense. Thanks! Wish they added a Recycle Bin feature though to make things easier.
True. I should do one later 30 chars
