Why do people put, “Simulator” in the title of their games?
What is the difference between an Obby, and an Obby Simulator?
Someone said that it was a “Clicker”. What is a “Clicker”?

Simulator games are, at least to my understanding, a game where you make progress by doing a certain task multiple times, people may also call them clickers since for most of them you just need to click multiple times.
E.G. a Speed Simulator may be a game where you just move around the map to become faster.
An obby is a game about doing a certain type of Roblox parkour. An obby simulator may be a game where you make progress by finishing multiple obbies. It all depends on your imagination.
Thanks, but I am still not getting it…
Why would someone advertise that there game is a, Clicker?!
Because simulators and “clickers” are very popular on roblox.
Also, simulators and clickers are made with 1 goal in mind…make as much robux as possible as quick as possible.
The original term of simulator was initially the act of a game simulating/emulating an experience (in the time where simulator games existed external to Roblox) However upon integration of the simulator genre onto Roblox. Simulator games primarily focus on completing a task, receiving a reward and using that reward to speed up the process of completing tasks and so on. Whilst the concept is extremely basic and lacks depth. It attracts the interests of children due to the constant dopamine being released from completing said tasks and then further speeding up the process of task completion.
Like xg1y said, they are just grind games.
They completely disregard the original meaning of the word “Simulator”.
Wouldn’t this make pretty much all Tycoons Simulators as well?
In my Prospective I like to Identify Simulator Games as stay up all night past 4 am grinding a game to get something you really want. A Simulator would have a cartoony UI style Usually would have a bunch of game passes and usually a Clicker to click on for coins or whatever the developers currency is for in-game non robux purchases. To keep the user entertained.
Simulators are simply tycoons that evolved beyond the need for a baseplate and buttons to upgrade stuff.
Simulators just expand from a baseplate to a mass environment, typically with differently skinned environments.
