What is missing in my logo?

Hey, I recently made a logo for my up coming game that needs to stand out.
It’s a medieval / cartoony game with a bit of realism. I tried my best at making the icon for the game,
but I feel like something is missing. It would be great if anyone could help me out with this one.

Here is the Icon: (everything made by me)

 It looks very good to me, perhaps add some lighting / effects to the swords?

The logo is really well made and the only thing I would add is maybe a blurry background of the game behind the text.

Well, I don’t know about you but I think you should add a crown on top of both swords because you know CROWN WARS.

The outline of the text is too bold. But it’s still just amazing!

It looks pretty good! But just like @MyHeadisMelting said, maybe adding a crown to it. It could be in the back of the logo. But the logo still looks super good.

Hi guys. I added a crown and removed the swords as they didnt fit. thanks for the feedback guys

If you had a problem with the swords not “fitting” it’s because they weren’t tied together by the background like the rest of the logo.

If you wanted to keep the swords (they look great!) I would suggest putting them by the sides of the word “wars” instead of the sides of the word “crown.”

Wow. I didn’t expect you to ever respond on any of my posts. I am a huge fan of yours. I will definetly try what you said, as I didn’t think of your idea yet. Thank you so much!

The logo definitely does look good in almost every aspect that I can see. The effects on the swords, the text and so on look like tons of effort was used, which is a good thing!

I have a few things I’d like to suggest

  • Despite the name, there’s nothing on the logo that shows the “Crown” part of “Crown Wars”. There are 2 ways I believe you can feature one on your logo, either on the skull in the middle or as the background of the logo.

  • The logo should definitely have a background for it, again I have 2 ways of how it could be done.
One way is how @ilikeitalot123 suggested and that is by adding a blurry background of the game behind the logo itself, perhaps a blurred out image of a scene later in the game (like a late boss), once the players notice the logo, they will notice the background and wonder what part of the game that scene is from, blurring helps to keep it a secret till they reach that point (unless the game doesn’t have a sort of story to it, in which case you can pick any point to take a background from).
Another way I believe it can be done is to color in a background yourself, perhaps with a color style similar to the logo itself but not too similar that it makes that main aspect hard to see, perhaps a dark tone of the color style would be good in that case

In the end, I definitely like the logo itself and would love to see it be used for your game after it receives some more touching up. I hope whenever your game comes out, the reception goes well!

Edit: I just noticed that there are crowns on the handles of the swords, but it still doesn’t really change my thoughts that there needs to be a crown in the logo to help show the “Crown” in “Crown Wars”

Cant really see the “R” and the “W” for Crown because the sword is covering it. By all means everything else looks good.

Hello everyone. I remade the Logo and I took all of your feedback into consideration while doing so.
Keep in mind the game is not done, so I had to resort to using some random background image off the web for now. But once the map is finished, I’lll swap it. I definetly think this looks a million times better than before. Thanks!
EDIT: I centered the swords in the final edit.
