Hello, I’m currently in the process of making icons for my game and I wanted to do the currency icons in the form of a casino chip & slabs.

I know roblox is against gambling due to children on the platform, my game contains no gambling what so ever. I’m just wondering on using casino style chips & slabs in the form of currency icons.
I replied to a post like this a few days ago. Again (as I stated in the other post), this is a grey area. Having gambling visuals should be avoided as, although your game has no gambling, it does certainly appear to have it.
I would avoid it just for safety so that a random parent doesn’t walk by, catch the icons, not know the game their child is playing does not involve gambling, and get their child and potentially Roblox in trouble because of it.
Let’s take a close analysis at the Roblox TOS for your answer.
In Section 1 Dash 10 of the Community Rules, which you vaguely referenced, it states the following:
Dangerous, unethical and illegal activities. Not only do we not allow these activities, we do not allow anyone discussing them or encouraging others to discuss (or take) such actions, including:
Misleading, sexual or racy thumbnails or other images, videos or text;
Gambling with Robux or real money;
Terrorism, Nazism or Neo Nazism, organized criminal activity, gangs and gang violence;
Instructions for engaging in violent activities, including bomb- or weapon-making
Criminal activity;
Illegal drugs or prescription drugs without a prescription;
The use or sale of drugs, alcohol, or tobacco by minors; and
Blackmail or extortion.
If you are not gambling or referencing alcohol in your creation, it can be assumed okay. The only notable example I can think of where this strategy was used appropriately was through Pokemon Brick Bronze’s arcade system where users played mini games to unlock tickets; however, that was an arcade and you are referencing a casino, a place reserved for adults.
In my educated opinion, it’s best to stay clear of anything that could be considered (wrongly) to be breaking the terms of service. I’d recommend visibly explaining the purpose and activities of the area in the game itself or the description if you choose to continue. Consentually, it’s better safe than sorry in this case and I would recommend not going forward with it, but, if you’re positive you can defend the fact that your game follows the TOS, by all means continue to innovate.
If you do choose to go forward with this project, I’d like to reference another portion of the ROBLOX Community Rules to ensure that your game is able to stay up. In Section 1 Dash 9, it says the following:
Sexual content or overly violent content. We do not allow such content, including:
Sexual content or acts, sexual violence, exploitation of any kind, or excessive violence. This includes such content whether or not nudity is involved and whether or not it would rise to level of being pornographic or being explicit;
Content that implies or makes an avatar appear naked or in underwear/undergarments; and
Atrocities, massacres, and other shocking real (or pseudo-real) world events.
TL;DR: It’s better safe than sorry, but, if you continue, make sure that the casino is age appropriate for Roblox users and does not involve gambling of any kind.
Okay, I don’t mean to be rude but this has not helped me in any way.
My post strictly said “Can i use a casino poker chip as a currency icon” and I also bolded the fact my game contains no gambling. I didn’t ask if I can have a casino in my game.
If your game doesn’t reference gambling in any way, shape, or form, it can be acceptable since it is not breaking any rules; however, you must maintain that image and ensure that it cannot be wrongly assumed to be gambling based.
Unrelated, but the wording here seems to indicate that prescription drugs are allowed but you need a prescription? Seems to me that drugs shouldn’t be allowed at all.
