What is special rates and conditions? - Tipalti, Roblox Devex

I was filling out my W8-ben form when I got confused on the section labeled ‘Special Rates and Conditions’. Can somebody explain to me what this means? Should I leave it unticked or tick it? Will Roblox tax me 30% if I leave it unticked?

I would be grateful for any assistance

Line 15, special rates and conditions. The instructions for this line have been updated to include representations required by entities claiming treaty benefits on business profits or gains not attributable to a permanent establishment

So the IRS website says, but what it essentially means is that you can claim special rates for profits on specific things.

In case of Copyright, you could claim 0% Tax Rate on copyright you own, or in case of Patents you could claim 0% Tax Rate on Patents you own, although I doubt it really applies to Roblox.

“Other industrial Royalties” are probably the best choice here if you’re unsure of what to select, although it’s been rumored that you can just tick everything and get taxed at 0% rate, although not sure about it myself.
When I was filling W8 Form for YouTube, I had to tick “Film & TV” Tax Rate, and thus I get taxed at 0% rate.
And yes, Roblox will tax you at 30% if you happen not to tick any of those.
