What is sucidial and self-harm, And what is not?

My game recently got suspended. It had around 400 players concurrent with 1.8m visits. They told me that a blender, In which you can throw people, or yourself, into a blender which makes your limbs fly around (no gore) is quite literally suicidal???

Roblox, has told me this “blender” is a suicidal and self-harm model which has made me lose 10,000’s of robux, each DAY.

Is this model suicidal?

It kind of is, but if you Search the term ‘Blender’ in Experiences there are many games that seem to be the same idea as yours.

How long has it been since your game was initially released?

You may want to apply to get this suspension removed.

Strange that you can shoot people all day long, jump off cliffs, put yourself in front of an explosion/gun/vehicle etc. in other games and yours without blood and guts gets moderated…

I have a mixed opinion here.

and then

You said it yourself. You’ve made a game that simulates literally jumping into spinning blades at your own will.

HOWEVER it can be argued that games such as Broken Bones or any game with fall damage has the same effect. And like @Scottifly said I’ve seen a lot of blender models designed to simulate this.
While they are technically right, I must say Roblox is focusing way too much on your game rather than many worse out there.

1-2 months the blender has been in-game

I do want to clarify that my game has moderate amounts of blood (splatters, no big gore or anything)

I did a while ago but its taking my time.

Exactly!

A game where you can kill yourself, to spend points, to get cooler ways to kill yourself. Welcome to broken bones!

Yeah, Many games out there have similar models and its unfair to target me for it, roblox mods can’t do their job right!

Small and probably final note - take roblox moderation with a grain of salt and you gotta deal with it. It is a tough job to create a moderation system on a platform with millions of players, that must check hundreds of assets each day, sound, images, etc.

But (lol i keep contradicting myself with this; it’s unavoidable though!) I’m pretty sure game checks are a manual thing. Perhaps someone thought this was a one-off and reported the game, and it was at the bare minimum to be deleted.
Oh well, good luck.

I would say Roblox is in the wrong here. Honestly almost anything can be “suicidal”, for example if I drank too much water I could die but it doesn’t mean incorporating water should be banned. I wouldn’t call your situation suicidal unless you are actively urging your players to harm themselves.

is this the game you are referring to?

because lots of your games are about blood and one of those blood games got put under review

I’m having second thoughts after I realised I should probably take a deeper look like @h3ct1k did.
Now it’s no wonder Roblox is trying to removing your blender game. They probably think you’re going to incorporate blood into it like these games you made:

Disregard what I said about roblox focusing too much on your games, I bet they’ve seen these before and now probably want to check all your other games too.

They moderated that before, they were wrong and apologized for it, They “learn from their mistakes” or so i heard from the email they sent me. at this point its disgusting.

Hard to deal with losing 50k a week because of roblox!

I honestly don’t know because broken bones encourages it’s players to jump off high ground to aim for the most broken bones which I would technically consider as “suicidal”. However, jumping into a massive blender seems very unrealistic in real life to do though.

Pretty much, because if you added a system that would cause death if player stayed too long in the water, that could be used for suicidal purposes. I think Roblox should make it more clear on what they consider as “suicidal” and “self-harm” content.

Right now my best recommendation to you is to stay away from making items and features that allow players to kill themselves to avoid any problems with Roblox moderation.

so broken bones is still technically violating roblox TOS

Ok here’s all you need.

To quote directly from Roblox’s CS:

"We don’t allow content or behavior that depicts, glorifies, or encourages suicide or self-injury, including:

  • Describing methods for suicide
  • Content that supports or depicts instances of self-harm"

Those are the standards that should be applied to your game. So, if:

rather than the character falling apart, and you yourself can jump into a blender, that is technically against the CS.

Yes, technically it is. Maybe its the lack of gore and the more cartoonish style that makes a difference? Well, obviously not the bone cracking noises and the literal jumping off a cliff… nevermind.

The first time I ever tried to make a public game on Roblox it was just a simple chair in a mirrored sky room. The game was supposed to depict the Tokyo Ghoul intro, and would have a music box you could play music from. However, the chair that I chose was named, keep in mind named, Torture Chair. Roblox moderation took the game down ofc. Roblox moderation is extremely different for each different case. If you want to not get taken down by Roblox Moderation, you should honestly just avoid this type of game in general. However, there are many cases of Roblox Moderation not banning games of this type, such as Breaking Point. The decision is ultimately up to you.

you know breaking points weird cousin? the other russian roulette game on roblox known for being very bloody, well thats also known for being banned lots of times
