How much average playtime should I want my game to have? I want to know if my game does well or not. Is a 10 minute playtime considered good? How about a 20 minute playtime?
It really really depends on the context of your game.
I can’t be able to help you if i don’t know what’s the type of your game.
hoping for a reply
The lower end of front page games have around an 8-9 minute average playtime, while the top tier ones like Bloxburg, and Arsenal have a 15-20 minute average playtime. I’d say anything over 7 minutes, and your fine!
Depends on the context of your game (like FISHGROOT mentioned earlier).
If its a storyline, you’ll have to make sure the player will sit through till the end of it
If its a simulator, you want to make sure they at least play for around 10-20 mins in one sitting
If its round-based like arsenal or bad business, the best bet you can do is that they would stay for at least 2-3 matches
But all in all, if the quality of your game is good, this will happen naturally, as people would invest more time on it. Don’t worry too much, just focus on the quality of the game
I can’t really describe the genre of my game because it’s a lot of genres. You’re on a large island and you have a pet noob, you feed it rocks that you find on the island and it grows, once your noob is a certain size you can ride it. You can explore the island looking for the places that give the best type of rocks to feed your noob. There are games that you can play and make money from. I.E. Flappy noob (which has the same general idea as flappy bird), and bouncy noob. With money you can buy accessories for your noob that also give you boosts (Example: You can buy a ninja headband for your noob and it grows twice as fast) There are also potions that you can buy to give yourself huge but very temporary boosts.
