What is the best way to create a roof similar to how this picture shows?

Hello!

So I am building an airport for my and a friends airline, and wondering how should I complete the roof of this structure?

I tried to set up the blocks trying to face that direction, but all I get as a result is this:

Any advice would be appreciated.

Using two wedges you can make one triangle side of the roof, so that roof can be made with 8 wedges.

What do you exactly mean by using two wedges? Also, where should I place them? Could you also make a visual of it if it’s possible? Thank you.

Sure, here’s a visual.

On the right is basic parts at 45 degrees, alternating colors to show there’s only four parts.
On the left is the same angle and size, but split into two wedges, now there’s 8 parts.

Alright, thanks! I will try it out and share it here once I’m done with that.

CornerWedgePart is the answer. Just click the plus on Workspace and search that. Although MP3Face’s idea would work, it isn’t as easy, and is more parts, which can go a long way on performance.

just insert a CornerWedgePart from the insert object menu. If you want to be space underneath it, just use unions to negate the bottom with more but smaller CornerWedgeparts.

The simplest way would be to gapfill between two parts. no cornerwedges or unions necessary. (I haven’t touched a cornerwedge since 2014 ) Doing it this way also makes it far quicker to make adjustments. (and also easier to detail afterward, since the main section that generates is a regular part instead of a wedge)

Use corner wedges and then texture them or add wedges to the corner wedges for a 3d roof design.

Dang lol, never knew those existed.

Yea I thought so because I saw no one mention them. Why are Roblox hiding them XD

Thank you all for the advise! We recently hired a developer for assistance with building, but whenever I do independent projects, I will try to implement your guys ideas.

Thank you! I actually started to use Gap Fill but never new this was a thing I could do, this helped very much.
