Its used for LinkedSource which is a script that is treated like a game asset.
To make one right click over a script and click create new linked source.
The script will then show in the folder and can be used to share the same code across your game universe.

That’s honestly very interesting to know.
Isn’t it problematic or something? I remember seeing people constantly getting their scripts corrupted or something.
Each time a change is made you need to publish the script so it can cause some confusion. With the addition of module scripts linked source scripts are not used that often.
