There’s a black bar jumping on my screen and its deleting stuff when I’m trying to type, does anyone know how to get rid of it?

To fix it just close and re open the script.

or press Insert, that happens to me a lot

insert seems to do that thing. i dont know the purpose of it.

Insert basically does as it says.
If you have “Cheese”
And you want to insert an “a” instead of an “e” in “Cheese” at the end then you can turn on insert and click on the last letter, then type “a” and it becomes “Cheesa”.
Honestly, no real use other than that 
Also, make sure to mark the solution if somebody helped you as they’ve said above.

Just click the insert button, it annoyed me alot too when I didn’t know how to get rid of it.
