I’m working on a project inspired on Tower of Hell on roblox, but I want to keep many differences so that it’s far from copying. Currently I have some stages in it with randomized spawning etc. I also added a currency system with which you can buy cool in-game hats(some are from catalog some are selfmade), and im adding a powerups next week(with personal powerups like coils etc.), except for gamepasses etc. do you guys have any ideas of what I should add to my game?
(if you want to see the project: ... - Roblox)
I would say redo all the UI, remove the Hd Admin and make your own custom commands if you want better control over the game. Add some music for better experience. I really like the thumbnail of the game, but the obby itself is not so good. Overall, pretty simple game but has potential to do as good as Tower of Hell
Hello! I’ve visited your game and here’s my thoughts for what could make it better:
Fix the potential bug with the players character on spawn. I’m not sure if this was a bug but if not, it’s fine. However, I would try to allow the players to have their default avatar.
Add easier stages or a practice area or a “noob” style cube. This is as when I played I kept dieing and I found it quite difficult to complete (could just be me lol)
Lastly, I would say to maybe add more stages in the future, to make it easier for the pros out here.
However, I feel this game is a great start and would be great with many future updates, including game passes and cash etc.
Thanks,
The first part isn’t a bug, we did that because there’s character hat customization and often those hats would interfer with the players normal avatar.
Thanks for that idea, it’s not just you xD it’s more people, it’s far from impossible tho
Also, we’re going to be adding 5-10 stages a week for the next couple of weeks
Alrighty! I will most likely look back at this game in the future as it looks really good so far. Also I forgot to say, maybe making the countdown go red at the last few seconds could be good!
Okay! Thanks for the idea, I sadly don’t really want to do this because I want it to have enough differences from others like Tower of Hell and it’s in these details for a big part
Since your getting inspiration from existing games try adding something that other obby games don’t have and try implementing your ideas to your game to make it more unique from other games out there.
Try placing materials or colors to make it more attractive I know this will be changed later down the line so it’s not a big of a problem, try adding rewards and (things like that so players won’t get bored quickly, maybe a small obstacle course they can practice at to improve there by skills) that means add different maps so they don’t be very easy to complete this could be modes such as (hard, medium, and easy,) If needed.
Throw in a few badges for completing sorting maps you know players like rewards. Maybe even have quest so players will come back to complete them.
Your obby at the start is pretty early in development I would recommend throwing a few ideas you have in mind and gathering all your feedback to make it different from other games.
