What should we put in our portfolio?

i personally have my own website with 3 different sections

1 - About me page ( age, years of experience, etc… )
2 - my best Creations
3 - contact info

the main issue is, i feel my creations aren’t impressive enough, although i am very confident that i could script anything with no difficulty whatsoever.

so what are the best/most impressive projects/creations to put in a programmer’s portfolio?
which ones guarantee to get me hired instantly?

Hired? For what? Also try making open source systems or modules that are useful. Maybe share your best projects or website if you want more help?

Remove that michael thing, it’s cringe and it makes me think you are a kid, people with money like to work more with 18+ people. Also you don’t really need a website for these things, the best jobs you’ll ever get will always come from networking. The best type portfolio for a programmer is linking your group with polished and finished games, with a stable playerbase.

Make something that takes a bit of effort such as

  1. Rollback netcode with a deterministic physics engine
  2. Hyper optimized RTS unit movement and pathfinding
  3. Custom smooth voxel engine with dual contouring

Yeah the website needs major fixing in UI, grammar and content. Most of your content is very simple and almost repetitive. You also say you do "mainly Back end, GUI and weapons ", but this is rarely seen. I posted an image of your website on my pc.
