So something that I see happening a lot is that Roblox Studio keeps adding scripts randomly that are all name WelderPart. It doesn’t seem to have a pattern, as it just keeps popping up randomly. It doesn’t only get placed on parts, too, as this happens on things such as the camera as well.
What should I do? These scripts are causing errors (errors telling me that it couldn’t download an asset) and it’s getting kind of annoying. Should I remove these and continue, find out how to make them stop appearing, or should I leave them alone?
Any help is appreciated!
Edit: The scripts in question were a virus, and I managed to find and remove the plugin causing the issues (It was a free clone of a plugin that costs robux, so that was on me ) Thank you to everyone who pitched in to help, and I hope everyone has a good day!
It’s hard to say exactly, check the console and see if there’s anything that looks like cloud_(number), if there is, that number is the ID of the malicious plugin. You should look at your installed plugins and check their creators. If they’re a bacon or terminated, or a group that is used to impersonate someone, you should remove them.
If it doesn’t have lots of likes / favorites then I recommend to skip it.
if you want trusted you can search on YouTube for the useful plugins and people wont be really giving
them with viruses or malicious stuff. and also I recommend to read the comments of the video and the
ratio between likes and dislikes. you have to be careful about it.
Plugins are only allowed to insert scripts unless you give them permissions to. Go to the Plugin Tab > Manage Plugins, go through each plugin one-by-one, click the pencil and paper on each of the plugins to edit the plugin’s script injection permissions. You can ignore the plugins that don’t ask for script injection permissions or don’t have script injection permissions.

Ok, I checked what the ID leads to and it leads to somthing that has been deleted, and the creator has been terminated, so I know it’s a virus, but I don’t know which plugin is causing it.
