What would help this CTR on this ad?

Hello all,

I’m looking for feedback on this ad. I did not make this ad, this was one that I purchased as a commission. I recently ran a couple of ad cycles with it and noticed it only got a 0.45% click rate. Can any of you provide feedback and suggestions on how this could be improved?

Thanks!

Maybe increase the exposure/contrast one some things in the ad.

I dunno I just feel like the ad isn’t very descriptive. I mean there’s nothing in the background or any kind of imagery really, it’s just avatars posing over a colored background. Pretty generic really.

I’m hesitant to give my opinion because I don’t know much about ad design but maybe it would be better if the ad were like an image from the game where there’s a guy digging while another guy runs at him with a sword and a guy in the background running with the flag, with some caption. I think that would catch my eye more, but then again what do I know about ad design.

I appreciate the input guys. Does anyone have any suggestions on what scenes would be good to add? I’m not really sure how to incorporate scenes with a vertical ad. Here’s the game link if that helps provide context: ⚔️ Underground Wars ⛏️ - Roblox

Put the ongoing battle in the background! People love explosions Those small details matter, because you’ll have them squinting to make things out, requiring them to really read into it! -Second edit: sorry for editing so much, um, disclaimer: Don’t make it so detailed it’s unreadable, but try to find that “Goldilocks zone”

I like where you’re going with this - making the “observer” pay attention to various details. I guess the issue I am running into is, on an icon, how much can you truly get away with, ya know?. What about someone carrying a flag with people chasing? Or is that not action-packed enough? I’m trying to think of how to incorporate the “explosion” affect.

The advert is well made, good renders, nice colour variation. Looking at it upon a first glance, I don’t know what the game is. Providing the game title may give me an insight as to what I can expect by clicking this advert.

I appreciate advertisement sizing it small and therefore it’s difficult to fit information into an advert. This is why design artists have to play around with the positioning of different information.

I would potentially suggest adding some particle effects onto each section to further draw the players attention to the advert.

That’s the normal click rate. I know this might sound terrible but trust me, I’ve seen 0.01 and even 0.003.
Anything more than 1% is already INSANE.
