What're the best and easiest objects for a beginner to build in Roblox/Blender?

Heyo!

I’m Mark, pretty much a sorta noob builder primarily in Roblox who’s looking for some advice.

I wanted to know…
What’s your opinion on what a new builder in Roblox should start out with building? I have some ideas but I wanted to know you all’s opinions.

Thanks!!
Mark

I recommend starting of with simple low poly assets in Blender like a tree or simple terrain. Good luck building

I suggest you make basic models first like a house, tree and other simple things.

Whether you use Blender or ROBLOX Studio, it doesn’t matter. But my favorite is ROBLOX Studio, because I’ve come to learn that. While my sister does 3D modeling mess so… If you want cool assets like a Sci-Fi looking place, use Blender and if you want to go more realistic and don’t really have a preference I’d go with ROBLOX Studio. (Because I think building in ROBLOX Studio is much easier)

Here are some plugins you can use:

  1. F3X Building Tools
  2. Stravant- Resize and Align
  3. Stravant-Gap Fill
  4. Camera Light
  5. Archimedes

Hope this helps, also good luck!

If you have simple ideas in mind consider to brainstorm ideas and write them down on a piece of paper for later progress whether your creating something in software or Roblox start small. Maybe try gathering a few images to give you inspiration this could be a tree, variety of rocks, something simple that could give you a idea on what to create.

(Table or chairs), you can always use these in a project some day. In your case find something your most interested in this could be anything to your own aspect. If your lacking ideas there are many resources that will provide you beginner ideas to create. Check beginner guides and create similar objects.

Donut or smaller assets should be everyone’s first model or something they want to create. I’d suggested just thinking of your own ideas and go from there!

Start off with some furnitures.
Yes, furnitures. They are fun to make and gives good exercise as well.
Try making Chairs, Table, Drawer, Cupboard, Stylised Door, etc. Also, dont forget to use reference pictures for it cuz making them from mind might make it look wobbly and random lol.

Start with a tree, or a few blender tutorials on making a donut I’ve found.

Use the latest version of blender, as some people go with the old one and never go back to the new one because controls are too hard to relearn.

In the image below, I have already imported the model in to studio; if you don’t know how to do that click here. Make sure you have selected both meshes; and that they export differently and not connected. I’m sure you already know how to color a tree lol I’m just giving some extra tips for what I do in specific. I’d recommend adding a image of a White to Grey gradient on the first mesh (tree leaves) and make it green. It adds some contrast to your tree to make it look better for a beginner

Hope I could help!

Try to make a low poly tree! It look really good with plastic material.
