What’s a good inciting incident for a Story Game?

I’m trying to make a Story Game, but I want a good Inciting Incident for a story game.
The Theme of my Story Game is Science Fiction, and Horror. I would not also like a normal incident like every generic and expected story game like; ‘You’re at a house part and something goes wrong!’ Also no generic monster with red eyes that clearly resembles a Roblox character. Just a good incident that kick-starts the characters to push the plot.

SCENE:

Weird things happen in the lab/house/building, the lights are exploding, the windows are breaking, and suddenly someone says “I wanna vomit” and goes to bathroom, then the camera appears there he trying to vomit and a monster goes out of the mouth of the person and then one person outside says what’s that with a scared face, then the door smashes out and the monster comes, the person with it just fainted and god through the WC, however, the person could just appear in another room when the people gets trapped after the monster scene and say “omg, i just fainted and got here, im very dizzy, it was the scariest moment of my life”.

What’s your discord again? I tried copy and pasting but nothing’s working.

A disgruntled AI worker decides to take revenge on humanity by implementing Roko’s Basilisk for real. He/she trains a nascent AI to optimize for “Revenge on anyone who doesn’t help it to succeed” (and maybe also for a devious sense of humor).

Shortly after the announcement, people notice the AI is already developing fast; they see they’re doomed if they don’t “help” it.

So the players of the game have to compete with each other to prove their obedience and usefulness to the AI by completing various tasks or choosing the right dialogue or whatever.

The AI may ask them to do scary/troubling things to prove their loyalty or willingness to take risks or endanger themselves for it. Scary challenges, or “prisoners dilemma” type decisions.

A player might also go the route of trying to undermine or trick the AI & destroy it (you can provide some tempting points of vulnerability), but of course any loyalist who stops them will get loyalty points.

The “winner” is either the player who does most for the AI (… or the one who destroys it).
