I’m starting to either create the lobby or the map for my game, the issue being is that I don’t know where to start, should I create the map or the lobby first?

For the Lobby, I’d wanna be creative and make something like an small obby lobby where you need to do simple obby stuff to progress through the other side of the lobby to vote a map (Similar to some Item Asylum lobbies) whilst for the map, I wanted to be a bit more simpler and make the map a small town with a lot of goofy things.
Now, I don’t know any questions about what I should ask for making a good lobby/map although I do have one question, what is a good grid size to start making the lobby/map? (Or in other words, what is the average size of a lobby/map or a good size for a lobby/map). Also, when I am making the small obby lobby, I would try replicating how you would originally built within Roblox’s time period around 2007-2009. (Where the parts where 4,2.1,1 and other different aspects of building during that time period). Although, if you wish, you can tell me what good lobbies/maps I should make.
All of these questions really depend on what your game is about, could you reply with some more insight on the themes & gameplay structure for your experience? Thanks
Oh, well the gameplay is going to be something similar to Item Asylum or any Randomizer albeit you choose what items can be obtained within the Item Pool.
Sounds cool!
So, the lobby size depends on the amount of players you want, but in general, probably about 1/4 (130x130) or 1/3 (170x170) of the size of the regular Baseplate, in studs
Since you say you’re building in 2007-2009 style for the obby, you can probably make it as big as you need without any major performance issues, as this style doesn’t typically use textures, and uses less parts, etc.
.
The maps, you should start off by making them maybe 1.3x (650x650) or 1x Baseplate-sized, again depending on the amount of players and detail of the map, but increase and decrease as you need to.
Lastly, it would best to make the lobby, a few maps, and the required functions of the game first, that way you can release it ASAP, and just add more maps/weapons as you go, simultaneously allowing players to keep playing.
