Yea it is not birthday. It is their anniversary on the forum, i.e x years ago on that day and month, they created their forum account.
Is there something which synbolizes it’s your birthday?
They use a full cake instead of a slice for birthdays iirc. Here’s an example (from BixbyAlan’s profile):
