What's the best stud to use on ROBLOX studios?

I certainly agree with you, though I also sometimes do 0.125

Personally, I use whatever is appropriate for the situation and that changes from day to day and build to build.

There is really no “best stud to use” for every personal project as it is very dependant on what you’re trying to achieve per project. Always take time to consider what you’re building, it’s scale and the most common increments you will be using to construct a majority of the elements (which I’ve seen to usually be 10, 5, 2.5, 1, 0.5 or 0.25).

Anything lower than 0.1 (down to 0.001) is a type of increment that tends to be used for very specific cases (e.g. High-Detail showcases) that absolutely benefit from such tiny increments (even if a majority of the build is made using the more common increments). This is why I disagree with the notion of ignoring the “0 stud people” as 0 studs is still a viable stud increment if you are aiming for very specific placement of (or very random placement of if you don’t focus) objects or complex environments which can use tens of thousands of parts for micro-detailing.

Side Note: Every increment has tradeoffs and something almost no one notices is 0 stud increment isn’t actually 0 studs, it has a real increment of 0.001 (which is also the new Minimum Part Size).

I use 0 pretty much all the time then again I’ve been building since 2013. But I feel it works well if you are good at it. Of course I use more if I need a distance or size for a part etc.

I usually use 0 studs for small and detailed buildings, but if i want to make a symmetrical house or school i will use 1 Studs. I recommend a plugin that i use frequently it name is: “Resize Allign”.

What are those certain people doing??? 0 studs is extremely prone to a ton of misalignments, which is really something you don’t want, 0.125, 0.25, 0.5 and 1 studs are just fine. 0.05-0.001 in some cases like fixing z fighting, but like … what? 0 snap to grid? I would never.

I recommend using 0.25 and 0.125 studs

for normal building 0.1/0.5 is enough, never use something like 0.25

It depends,
I use 0.125 and for very small adjustments I use 0
It’s really what is most comfortable for you, and what you think fits best with your workflow.

I support the 1, .5, .25, .125 gang, but I also suggest that, whenever doing realistic interiors, I suggest going in 4 stud increments, while also enabling the grid in Studio.

You change it around a lot for aligning and other things, although you should default it to 0.1 or 0.05 for maximum efficiency. Never use 0 studs unless it’s for random placement, or if you need EXTREME precision like when eliminating z-fighting.

I use 0.025 in most of my builds. For larger details, I’ll use 0.5. Rarely do I ever find myself using 0. If I’m moving stuff I use 1.
