Hi!
My game is pretty big and takes up more than 2k MB of client memory, causing constant lag and also making it virtually unplayable on most mobile devices. I’ve been playing around with StreamingEnabled to help optimize things. This has drastically improved things, with the client memory being only 900 MB on startup.
However, I’ve noticed that when the game loads in chunks of the map that are farther away from the spawn, the client memory shoots back up to 2k MB.
Is there a way to unload assets from past areas so the game doesn’t do this? And if not, I’m wondering how and when does StreamingEnabled decide to unload assets automatically (if at all)?
Thanks,
Bluecap
