When I make my effect how should I position it in my dummy

So when I was making a lightning effect I was wondering how it should be position, should the emitter be in the dummy’s torso and shape like so.

Or should it cover the entire dummy

I not very sure if theirs certain examples you need like “Oh, it’s a normal npc that just standing” idk.
