The problem is I expect to have the option to archive images/decals that I have uploaded to Roblox and some how it is missing / removed now?
I am the group owner so I should have that permission
This has a significant impact on my workflow as I want to hide unused assets by archiving as the Asset Manager tools in Creator Hub is severely lacking
You can’t directly archive “Image” assets, but you can archive Decals. Archiving a Decal will also archive the Image that is associated with it.
EDIT: Seems like the 3-dot menu over all asset types (besides Images) in the Creator Dashboard is currently missing, making it impossible to archive anything. This is definitely a bug.
Decals and images not being merged as well as meshes and rendermeshes not being merged. Also the lack of the ability to fully delete assets off the website.
Ran into this too today, I expect to be able to archive image assets. I uploaded them through studio, but I want to upload new versions and archive the old versions to avoid confusion over which is latest. There is no visible option to archive images, though.
For some reason, this bug was closed even though there isn’t a resolution. I’ve reopened the ticket.
I noticed that for my images, the asset apis are returning items as “isArchivable”: false. This controls whether or not you can see if something is archivable in Creator Hub.
I’m following up with our team to see what’s going on in the backend and why Images are not allowed to be archived
Just got a response, and Images are intentionally not archivable. There are limited set of assets archivable. The original post lists 3 types and Video is the 4th and final supported one.
