I agree. From videos Iā€™ve seen, blender seems much easier to use and looks better in my opinion.

Wow. I fell for that.

You cant say either of them are ā€œbetterā€. They both have their pros and cons its all up to you to see what fits you the best.

Unless your going to buy a 3rd party engine in C4D like Octane then just stick with Blender Cycles itā€™s free and has many uses. Thatā€™s what I use anyways

iā€™d say blender. bigger community, easier to use.

From my own personal experience I would say both are completely equal.

Blender offers amazing render capability and results. It is somewhat easy to learn with a very large amount of tutorials on youtube and is free. I tried it out before but it was a bit to confusing for me to learn at the start but got the basics down within an hour. Blender is a great choice for anyone starting 3D Design / Rendering.

Cinema 4D offers amazing capability and results aswell. I found C4D much easier to learn since it has a much simpler layout and is all around more user friendly. Downsides to C4D is that you wonā€™t find nearly as much tutorials as you would blender and most of the time you will have to do some questionable actions to get a copy of C4D (which can bring unwanted things to your computer if you are not safe.) The last downside to C4D which alot of people donā€™t know about is that there is a cap to how realistic you can make the renders without support of a external plugin (If you donā€™t plan to make realistic renders like I like to make then this isnā€™t an issue.) The native C4D physical render has a limit to how realistic it can get so thats why many artists who use C4D will use external plugins such as Octane Render (My personal choice), Arnold, or Redshift. These plugins can cost money or be free and can deliver amazing results.

Overall itā€™s up to you but it comes down to:

Blender is harder to learn but is 100% safe, more tutorials, and delivers great quality.

C4D is easier to learn but you will have to crack it most likely to get it, fewer tutorials but they are of good quality, and can deliver same quality as blender.

Used to use Cinema 4D back when it was used widely due to it just being the way to go with doing GFX, Blender had a really unfriendly user interface that I just could not use at all. However I believe Blender is much more easier due to there being more tutorials and since the 2.8 update, itā€™s much more friendly to beginners to utilize.

However... I've been quietly learning to do thumbnails in Unreal Engine 4 and I think it'll be a game changer.

For a beginner, 100% go with Blender, it is very easy to use and you can very quickly get the hang of it. It is a pretty powerful software and it is free. It has multiple render engines for different use-cases, including Eevee which allows you to view your rendered models in real time.

On the other hand, there is Cinema4D which doesnā€™t even compare to Blender, it is incredibly powerful and produces fantastic results far quicker than Blender, however, it is very expensive and more difficult to use and so it isnā€™t really an option for most people.

I have been using Blender for 6 years and I have never struggled at all with it not being powerful enough, so my advice would be to go with Blender and for the best results, render in Cycles.

Through my years of experience with Blender, itā€™s a free software informative with countless of tutorials/ guides and easy to learn for most people.

Itā€™s a recommend software and can do most of all what C4D can, if your into modeling or graphic designing both software have the option to do these sorts of things. If youā€™re into using a specific software why not just learn both of them and see which one feels comfortable to you.

Selected software such as Blender or C4D offer so many options and capabilities and sources that allow to create things high quality, however there isnā€™t much different from both software. I certainly recommend learning both to see which one is a better option towards your standard point then go from there.

I canā€™t go any further since I have no experience into using C4D.

Blender has the most support in the Roblox community so that would be better in my opinion.

I prefer Blender. Itā€™s free, and not so hard to learn.
