Hi! So I bought some assets and wanted to make a few simulator maps/layouts with them. Note that they are just layouts and more will be added I am mainly focusing on the central area. Map#2 was made by @coneylove133
I personally don’t like the first one as much because it is very enclosed when simulator maps are typically very open.
Which Map is the best in your opinion?

As you mentioned, it is too compact. This layout would do well in a roleplaying game but not so much in a simulator.
Everything is seen by the player in one glance which is nice. The spot in the center could also be a hub for trading or the like for the game.
It feels so, unnatural? Everything is on one side that it feels like a movie set.
Map 2 is simply the best one out of the three. Although it could do some improvements (having some buildings higher than others; rarely-used buildings behind other buildings for depth.
