Which UI Design is better?

Looking for some feedback on an RTS UI. Below are the options! Please provide any feedback if neither of these meet what you would want to see. Thanks for the help!

I’d say option 2, but I’d suggest centering the Ships: 10/15 text in the box instead of on the left side. It just looks a bit off.
Also your ship icons are pushed slightly to the left side as well and that offset bugs my eyes.
Just my 2 cents worth, spend it as you will. :slight_smile:

Feel like this might be a little bit of an anomalous answer here from me but I actually prefer the first one. I have experience in making UIs and I think that on the second one, it feels too sandwiched in between the border and the ships. On the first one its got room if you know what I mean

Might just be me though.

Interestingly enough, the first option was the first one I was going with. From a design perspective, it’s super easy to just drop it into the same frame as the boats and let the layout constraint deal with it.

What’s not shown here is the option for “selecting all” and “deleting all”, which would also be easy to drop into the constraint. However, a reason for leaning towards option 2 is I like the idea of having that frame strictly contain boats.
