If it’s of any other use, Roblox Studio works perfectly fine for some reason.
What issues? Maybe you should report those.
I see. The studio graphics mode is sometimes separate from Roblox’s.
However, in the AppSettings.xml, in the version folder, try changing http
to https
.
I’ve been having this issue for more than a month, at this point. I cannot play ROBLOX unless if I’m on the terrible UWP app. Nothing posted on the DevForum has worked, so I’m really desperate for this to be fixed.
Changed the AppSettings file, doesn’t work.

A friend reported they are still encounter this issue.
This issue is emerged after migration to 64-bit version, we are still investigating the root cause. If you still experience this issue, does it happen only when clicking a link on the website, or also when you start Roblox app from a shortcut and start an experience from it?
So sorry for the late reply! It happens on all versions of roblox EXCEPT the microsoft store version.
Using website links, joining from the browser, etc, all don’t work. And Studio works just fine.
So it persists, can you try running it from another user account (another login on you machine, same Roblox user). If it resolves the issue, it can be caused by data cached in previous versions.

I believe I am able to play the website version on other devices on the same account, such as my laptop. It also worked fine on my previous device but it’s only my new PC in which I have issues loading onto the website version.
But if you create a new user account on your newer PC, do you still have issues?

This problem is happening to me too. I run with an Nvidia graphics card as well, but i am using windows 11 home 64 bit. Sometimes for me my roblox will give the roblox crash
message and sometimes caused lag. I can still control my player, audio and UI still works, just i can only see white. This happened after the Byfron update when roblox upgraded to 64 bit. Ive been dealing with this for far too long now, it should be resolved. Im tired of using the microsoft store version with lack of voice chat.
I too have this issue. I have 3 main devices: a laptop and 2 PCs. All 3 run NVIDIA graphics cards (laptop uses 3060, one PC uses 3070ti, another uses RTX A5000). All devices run Windows 10, 64 bit. On the laptop and RTX A5000 device, Roblox launches normally, but on the 3070ti device, it goes to a white screen after several minutes. I have tried everything in this thread and outside of it, such as:
- Completely uninstalling Roblox off the device via “Add or remove programs”, deleting it out of the local %appdata%, and deleting Roblox temp files
- Clearing Roblox cookies
- Using different accounts
- Using different devices
- Upgrading/downgrading graphics drivers
- Updating Windows 10
- Reducing and removing any system overclocks
- Closing any overclocking softwares (MSI afterburner and Riva statistic server for me)
Some of these solutions actually did fix Roblox not launching temporarily, but it did not fix it permanently. It is frustrating that I have to do all of these solutions in order to get Roblox running. The Microsoft store app works just fine, but I would rather use the regular Roblox player. Roblox studio launches and runs without issue.
Another issue that may be unrelated or related is that I also can get these two situations:
Error Code: 403
I have tried everything listed previously, and also:
- Playing with a VPN on

I do not know if it is relevant to this thread, but it seems to occur if there is not a white screen. Then it will give the above error. When I get the white screen, it will give the “Roblox needs to quit, we’re sorry” error.
When Roblox starts as a white screen, it tends to be considered a background process instead of one of the main running processes, and stays like this for the whole time that Roblox does not start. The only way to close it is to kill the task.
The graphics drivers I am running currently on my GPUs (if it helps):
Laptop 3060: 535.98
RTX A5000: 535.98
3070ti: 536.40
It is an annoying issue that I have been having for a couple of weeks now, and is most likely tied to the Byfron/64 bit player release? Again, some of the solutions that I listed did work, but only temporarily.
As of today, I am not sure if this works for others, but website version of roblox no longer gives me issues! I’m not sure when this was fixed but, hopefully perhaps a fix is rolling out and people can play normally now.
No updates rolled out yet, still stuck on version-b9021bd8128442aa that blocks signed apps from hooking
I’m surprised no one has mentioned Compatibility Mode yet.
