Watched the video. It looks good! I like the elevator system especially.
I like the place itself, however, it reminds me a lot of older building styles and arcades such as XiaoXiaoMan’s Dry Bones arcade than the building styles that you are trying to replicate.
In the first screenshot you provided me in your latest reply, the walls and the roof are not properly connected together as you can see the sky through the gap.
Some general feedback though:
Outside environment. The arcade is placed in the middle of a a field. Perhaps you could work on the outside environment, make the arcade seem part of the urban environment it usually would be expected to be? When it comes to places centred around a single building, builders either usually have the player spawn in the interior of the building or create an environment appropriate to the centre of the game.
Lighting. A single glance to the ceiling would reveal the shadows of the objects placed above, as seen in the same screenshot. You need to thicken the ceiling to such an extent that the shadows are no longer seen (just make sure there is enough headspace for the people underneath! )
When it comes to an arcade, I would expect bright lights and illumination. Perhaps you might want to work on that.
The signs you have placed on the outside and inside of the building are quite difficult to read. You may also want to make amends to that.
General building style. If you allow me to be blunt, it seems as if you have created four walls and shoved a few arcade games in. I would highly recommend that you broaden your understanding in regards to internal design and decoration. You can add stuff to the walls, the ceiling, the floor. Use concepts if you need to so you know what you’re creating.
Altogether, I can tell you are proud of what you have created, and that in itself is good. However, there is still a lot for you to do to improve your creation in whatever way you can.
Good luck with your improvements and future creations. If you need more feedback, feel free to ask.
This build is extremely tacky. The colors are super bold, and don’t coordinate with one another. Your palm tree looks like a flat makeup brush, and just chunky. The letters are messy and this bright slime green color pulls over every other color. The inside is nice, but if you’re going to use free models, credit the creator before claiming that it is your work.
Overall nice work!
Being brutally honest, I think the interior is a decent start, but it requires a lot more detail, especially on the walls in order to create the atmosphere of an arcade. The machines have already made a start on that, but there isn’t any background detail to make players feel as if they’re in an arcade - it feels almost as if you’re in a room with arcade machines. You could organise the machines in a more unique pattern as well, since they’re more or less all placed around the walls; the area in between the sides and the centre feels somewhat empty because of this.
I’d also highly recommend improving the exterior of the building; it’s all one colour and there’s no detail that really stands out when looking at it.
There’s also a couple of issues I spotted whilst looking around:
Some of the walls aren’t aligned properly and there are gaps where the corners are intended to meet. I took this screenshot from outside, but there were also a couple more of these inside as well.
I’m probably nitpicking but these lines are also uneven distances away from each other.
I’ve also noticed this floating machine. The ‘GRIDLOCK’ machine, ‘HEAVEN’ machine, ‘DAY AT THE BEACH’ machine and the tall blue and purple things in the other room also have this issue, as well as most of the machines on the second floor.
Despite my rambling, it’s semi-decent start, so best of luck to you
Also, I forgot to raise this point yesterday but the large green text outside looks very blocky, the characters aren’t aligned and the letter Y is floating off the side of the building. You might want to use this 3D text plugin for your sign:
