Why are "bots" ruining my game?

I created a card game called Meme Maker: Meme Maker! - Roblox.

I collect player feedback and many people are saying that the game “has too many bots.” I don’t understand what that means and how I can address the situation. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks. Kevin

One way would be to add a minimum limit of how old an account must be to play the game. So for any account that is created, and then tries to play the game is required to be a few days old.

This can be done using Player.AccountAge, which gets the players account age in days

Its not a long-term solution, but it’s effective at keeping bots and alts created at a specific period of time out of your game.

Where would these bots be coming from and what is the motivation for someone to create a bot?

Money. Bots cost money to run and someone has a reason. Just like bots that farm accounts for other games, is there any benefit to farming accounts in your game?

Hello @coopersfather,
in this case, “bots” may be referring to the slang term of someone performing poorly in the game – also often called “noobs”. Are you sure your players aren’t referring to other players just being bad at the game?

My game is a card game. I’m not sure why a bot would be in my game. Also, just because players say there are bots in my game doesn’t make it true. How would I know for sure?

That’s a good point - maybe that’s what they are referring to when they say “bots”
