Why are my point lights doing this?

i have pointlights in these light parts, but they’re doing a weird sort of half-off thing:

where only half of the light seems to be on at a time. this only happens on the roof, which the parts intersect. it doesn’t happen on the floor or any of the walls.
the light parts have castshadow set to false, while the pointlights have shadows set to true. setting the roof’s castshadow to false doesn’t do anything, nor does moving the lights down and out of the roof. my lighting is set to future.
however, if i move the pointlight and part outside:

it works fine.

nothing i do except deleting the roof fixes it, but i feel like that isn’t solving the problem because it just removes the ability for the pointlight to shine on it. i need a roof on this anyway.

does anyone know why this could be happening?

might be because the part is inside the roof? try making the lights a bit thicker and not inside of the roof

it makes no difference.

then this might be a studio bug ?

i dunno what else it could be, but i want to see what others say first

I would say that your pointlight or your part is occluding each other, or that this is somehow a transparency sorting issue

Try removing the pointlight then making another part which will be the pointlight.
