You can write your topic however you want, but you need to answer these questions:
What do you want to achieve? Keep it simple and clear!
I want to figure out why people are disliking my game but I don’t have anyone to playtest right now other than myself, but obviously I have a bias to my game.
What is the issue? Include enough details if possible!
My game has a pretty low like ratio at the moment (67%) and I really want to fix that!
What solutions have you thought of so far?
I have added lots of new features to make gameplay easier and more streamlined but I think I may have just made a bad game. It sucks because I put so much effort and time into it.
Disliking is going to be from people dying and being annoyed about it. This could be from having to wait up to 60 seconds to play again, or because they feel the death was unjustified.
You could add something to do when the player has died, for example a small task that will give a little bit of cash when completed, maybe an obby or something like that
Also making the gameplay a bit more straight forward (considering the playerbase is very young), with things like making that boost go towards where the player is facing instead of where the mouse is, or showing what you’re meant to do in the minigame more visually. For example when playing the fighting one I didn’t realise until later that you had to click to punch people because we weren’t given a tool, or boxing gloves on our character… something like that.
Knowing that your game is a minigame, it could just be because players lose and they don’t like it.
Once more people play your game, it will probably even out.
This could also be about your audience. If you advertised this, who did you advertise it to? (Age, gender, etc)
Great feedback thank you so much! Didn’t even think of the leaping one, why would I make it go towards the mouse originally??? I am gonna implement all of your suggestions and advertise again today!
