Our game, Maze Craze, is not retaining players, most likely because the average visit time is so low, rounding at a monthly average of two minutes.
This could, of course, be due to players not wanting to play the game alone and leaving, but this shouldn’t bring the average visit time this low.
My target for computer users is 20-25 minutes, and my target for tablet and phone users is 10-15 minutes.
Could you all provide feedback in order for us to improve the game? It would be a big help, and any feedback at all is helpful! Please provide a 1-10 rating of the game as well, as it could help me summarize your opinion of the game!
If you aren’t a DevForum member, you can give your feedback with the feedback system in-game(next to quests stand and item shop or using the poll a few replies down.)
Maze Craze is a game where you compete in various mazes, customize your character with cosmetics, complete quests, and so much more!
This game is very unique and is a very fun concept! However, I do have some feedback. I completely agree with everything in the first post, although I do have some suggestions. Of course, these are only suggestions, so please don’t feel like you must add them if you don’t want to, but here they are:
The running/walking animation is a bit… off. The arms of my character go super fast whenever I walk—It’s almost like it’s too fast for the speed that the player is actually going.
The golem doesn’t move. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be like that, and in some maps it’s literally just floating in the air.
Some of the maps are kind of hard to see in due to lots of shadows. Don’t get me wrong; I do think the lighting is neat, but it’s still really hard to see in, especially in some parts.
I have not played every single difficulty so I don’t know everything in the game, but when the impossible mode was voted, it never teleported anyone and the gui didn’t come up.
The game could use some polishing. I love how many details are in the lobby and maps, but there might be room for even more details.
I know this is a lot of feedback and I’m sorry, but overall this game is actually really fun! I even played it for a while because the maps are very interesting. I hope you continue to work on this as I’m sure many players will love it, especially since it’s so original unlike most Roblox games today.
Alright so I played the game for a bit and I have some feedback for the UI designs
The menu button (mainly settings) looks a bit ‘soft’ and the edges are very pixelated. Did you make the text with Roblox or did you draw your own font? If you drew it I would suggest vectoring it, I’m pretty sure there’s a few free vector websites you can use, It will make the text not look pixelated no matter how big or small it is, giving it a smoother and cleaner outside.
I think the players/seconds left could be a bit smaller and moved up to the top.
The Version in the top left could be moved to be under Server Age, as well as have the GUI look the same.
Maze Coins and Crazy Crystals could also be smaller, also the + button on the outside of them blows up into a rectangle when you hover over it, I think putting it in the top right corner of Maze Coins/ Crazy Crystals might look nice, as well as getting rid of the blow up on hovering over it but keep how its darker when hovered over.
The text about the map info before the round starts might look better with a background
“Golem on the Loose” is in an awkward spot, if its an occasional event I think having the screen darken for a second with the text popping up in the center of the screen for a few seconds (with an alarm sound) might make for a fun effect, if this is the case OR if not than I think putting it in the bottom left area of the screen might look better, since a lot of the left side of the screen is crowded
There has been some modifications that makes the golem better, making it teleport to the nearest player when it’s stuck sometimes. We’ll consider the other ideas as well!
Thanks for the feedback! We have fixed some of these things but we haven’t noticed the pixelated images. This could, perhaps, be a ROBLOX glitch and not a Maze Craze glitch.
Improved UI, added more features and maps, added mini quests for extra interaction, added a stamina bar, fixed some areas that golem gets stuck on, improved lighting somewhat, changed animation, disabled impossible, fixed some game breaking glitches, and added some other things as well.
I hope these changes helped the game. One thing that I’m wondering is whether or not the game would do much better if there were more people.
