Why Are Some Forum Members That Are Ranked ‘Member’ Being Able To Post Discussion Posts?

Hi everyone. I am Sky, one of the many users of the DevForums. So recently I have noticed that some forum members ranked ‘Member’ have been able to post discussion posts. Though when I wanted to make a discussion post a couple days ago, the category would not come up for me. Now, here is a post that I saw was made by a ‘Member’ ranked person. There has been a couple others, but this one was the most recent I saw: https://devforum.roblox.com/t/struggling-with-lack-of-motivation-for-new-developers/556636
So my question is; Why are some forum members ranked as ‘Member’ able to make discussion posts while some cannot? I am not sure if this has been an issue with others as well, but this has been an issue with me.

Thank you for reading and have a great rest of your day!

The topic you provided was moved to the discussion category because it was placed in the wrong category in the first place.

I thought this happened because of too many posts had to be approved by the community post approval team.

@AmusingDev is correct, it was simply moved from Forum Feedback into Discussion by someone with category editing powers.

There is no way to give granular permissions to certain people in a trust level, it’s simply not supported by Discourse.
