I have made a script that adds a folder into the player when they join the game. The folder stores all the player’s currency but I have noticed that when I name the folder anything except for ‘leaderstats’, it doesn’t display the currency on-screen.
If I change the folder name to ‘leaderstats’ it displays on-screen.
Why does it do that? Is there a way to make it display on-screen without the folder being named ‘leaderstats’?
Nope.
It’s kinda strange that you can only make things appear on the leaderboard with a folder named ‘leaderstats’, but thats the only way to do it without making your own leaderboard. It’s probably just like that because it was implemented ages ago and no-ones had attempted to change it.
Yeah that’s annoying. I wonder why they aren’t letting developers make their own folder name other than ‘leaderstats’ that stores currency.
Could this be posted as a bug report?
I don’t think so – this is a feature working as it was intended, but it is a pretty bad feature. You could maybe post a feature request about it.

Yeah, only regulars can post feature requests or reply to feature requests. There is also no way to become a regular. I think that this topic has been solved, and as per roblox’s rules we can’t go off topic.
doesn’t just have to be a folder, can be anything that can be named to leaderstats, other values, parts (i think), etc.
